ARTWORK

Artwork is best supplied in black and white in order to produce the best film for making the screens. We can produce simple text artwork for you free of charge but more complicated artwork can attract a charge if we are to do it.  To ensure the highest quality finish we requrie the artwork to be of high quality with a minimum of 300dpi, artwork can be sent in by email, cd or post and is required in jpg, eps or adobe illustrator. Bitmap files must be at least 600dpi.  Hard copy artwork must be laser sharp.

Should you be unable to supply artwork in most cases we can offer artwork origination, however, we cannot take images from the web or letterheads as the quality is not good enough to reproduce to a satisfactory standard.  All artwork for more than 1 colour rquries a minimum 2mm gap between ink colours for multi colour printing. The maximum number of colours that can be printed is 4 per balloon.  Remember to keep the artwork as simple as possible, the less words or content, the larger and bolder the result will be, it is also best if possible, to avoid using tiny lettering.On a 12" balloon the print area available is 5 inches or 125mm so if you draw a 5 inch circle it will give you some idea for layout, successful content and result.

Artwork for photo balloons can be provided with a black and white or colour picture but not a phone camera picture as the quality is not good enough to obtain the best results. You need a crisp sharp photo with good contrast between the main subject and the background, this can be supplied to us by emai,l, cd or post.

PHOTO BALLOONS

Printing a photo on a balloon, this is ideal for birthdays, weddings, product launches, opening ceremonies or indeed any celebration party. They are best printed onto a light coloured balloon as the photo is made up of a series of black dots put together to create tonal variations or a 3 dimensional effect using only 1 colour ink, the photos are printed in 1 colour so it will look like a black and white photo, but however the colour of the balloon can be of any light colour.

Another consideration is wheter to use latex or foil for your balloon based event. The main difference between these two flexible materials is the style of operation when printing balloons. The balloon printer will transfer an image or message onto a latex balloon while inflated. Foil balloons on the other hand require the balloon to be uninflated. At the end of the day screen printing resultes in the most precise accurate reproduction on both of these materials and is the preferred mode of production for quality balloon printing companies.

We can match very closely to uncoated pantone colours to ensure you get the perfect finish.

With your colour themes you can have different coloured balloons at no extra cost to make it more colourful, and by using 2 sided print you can have a logo on 1 side and text on the other. You can also of course change the colour of the ink on the different coloured balloons, however, there is a small extra charge for this as we have to wash the machine down.  

Also for seasonal events, use the season balloon colours and print with your corporate logo or message for example, at Christmas you could use red and gold balloons with your message printed on.   We can print up to 4 colours with either 2 colours on 2 sides, 3 colours on 1 side and 1 colour on the reverse or 4 colours on 1 side. At the same time you can have your balloons in different colours, thereby making a dramatic scene that will not easily be forgotten.
