DISPOSABLE HELIUM GAS CYLINDERS .Disposable Helium Gas Cylinders with or wihtout ballons. For all your Party supplies - party products, helium and ribbons from PartySuppliesRus for all your balloon decorations and accessories.

DISPOSABLE HELIUM GAS CYLINDERS Disposable Helium Gas Cylinders with or wihtout ballons. For all your Party supplies - party products, helium and ribbons from PartySuppliesRus for all your balloon decorations and accessories.

Helium is mined, or to be precise drilled for mainly in Olkahoma and Texas they have natural gas wells that contain up to 4 % helium. This natural resource is very rare. The gas field must be encased in radioactive rock or no helium is produced. The alpha particle decay in the surrounding radioactive rock over millions and millions of years creates the helium. An alpha particle is just a helium nucleus, when it slows down and regains its two electrons, it becomes a helium molecule. Thus the radio active rock makes helium one molecule at a time to accumulate in the same pocket as the natural gas.

Helium is the chemical element with the atomic number 2 and is represented by the symbol He. It is a colourless , odorless, tastless, non toxic inert monatomic gas that heads the noble gas group in the periodic tables. It's boiling and melting points are the lowest amongst the elements, and it exists only as a gas except in extreme conditions. Because of it's low density and incombustibility helium is the choice of gas for filling airships abd balloons, and because it is lighter than air it is used to inflate decorating balloons for lift.

Balloons always make that special party and bring a smile to everyone's face, especially so when they are filled with helium and floating. Party decorators always make use of helium when they are decorating venues. you must remember however when buying balloons that you are going to fill with helium that they must be of helium standard, some cheap party balloons are not and if you use these the helium will leak out in a very short space of time ruining the party effect. Pure helium quality latex balloons can be found at Party Supplies R Us there you will find full range of helium quality balloons that also can be used for air filling at very competitive prices which are delivered directly to your door.

Chart for Latex Balloons filled with Helium all figures are approximate, flying times depend on correct inflation and sealing plus temperature and atmospheric conditions:

10 inch inflate t0 9.75 inches * Lift ability 6g * Gas capacity 0.4 cu ft * Av Float time 9 hours.

11 inch inflate to 10.75 inches * Lift ability 9g * Gas capacity 0.5 cu ft * Av float time 18 hours.

12 inch inflate to 11.75 inches * Lift ability 12g * Gas capacity 0.85cu ft * Av float time 20 hours.
