CHILDRENS PARTY GAMES
The Bubble Game - Easy and Great Fun - Blow lots and lots of bubbles into the air and let the children catch them, the more bubbles, the better the game. Make sure you get help with this game otherwise you could run out of steam.
The Guessing Game - Get enough boxes before the party, approximately shoe box size, cut a hole in the lid, large enough to get your hand in. Mark the boxes so you know which one has what object inside, then place an item in each box. Blindfold the players and ask them to put their hand in the box one at a time and guess what is inside. For example you can use; toothbursh, toy dinosaur, orange, ball of wool, uncooked pasta, play dough, toy spider, marbles, sponge, sugar lumps. Try not to go for gooey things as the kids will wipe their hands everywhere!
No 1 Dressing up Game - Have an assortment of different clothes, including hats and footwear. It is better to use large clothing for this so the children can put on over their own clothes. Put an equal number of different items into a bag, one for each child, when you say go they have to put on the items in the bag and the one wearing all the items first is the winner.
No 2 Dressing up Game - Have a themed Pirate OR Princess Party and thE guest with the best costume wins a prize.
No 1 Musical Game - All the children run, jump, skip, hop whilst the music is playing, when the music stops they have to sit on the floor as quickly as possible. The last one to sit down is out. Continue until you have a winner. It's always nice to give each child a sweet or something similar when they are out.
No 2 Musical Chairs - Line up alternate facing chairs, one less than the number of children playing. Start the music. The players move around the chairs whilst the music is playing, when the music stops they have to sit down on a free chair. The player without a chair is out. Then take another chair away and repeat until you have 2 players and only 1 chair left. The first one to sit down is the winner.
No 3 Musical Statues - Start the music and all the children dance around whilst the music is playing. When the music stops the children have to stand still like a statue, the first child to move is out - carry on until there is a winner.
No 4 Start the Music - Whenever the music stops the players must run into a corner which has a number written on it. One player is asked to choose a piece of paper out of a box. This will have a number written on it. The players who are in this number corner are out. The winner is the last person in.
No 5 The Music Parcel - Make a parcel and in between each layer of paper put an envelope with a task in it, such as, do an impression, dance to the music, sing a nursery rhyme, pull a face, whistle etc. The last envelope says PRIZE. Start the music and the children pass the parcel then when the music stops the child holding the parcel opens it and does the task in the envelope. The one who gets the PRIZE envelope is the winner.
