click here for Party Bag Fillers PARTY GAMES FOR CHILDREN (continued) The Balance Game - Place the children into pairs and then each pair are given a sheet of newspaper which they place on the floor, you then start the music and they dance on the paper until the music stops, then they fold the newspaper and you start the music and both children dance on it again not touching the floor until the music stops if they touch the floor they are out, this carries on until there is only 1 pair left and they win the prize. Sweet Guessing - Buy a small container or cup that the winner can use when they get home. Fill it with jelly beans or sweets. Have each child at the party guess how many sweets there are in the container. The person who guesses the closest without going over the actual amount wins the container and the contents. Put the Nose on the Face - Cut out different face parts eg. hair, nose, eyes, mouth from childrens papers and then draw a face onto a piece of paper and blue tack it to the wall or door. Blindfold the children in turn and get them to stick the pieces onto the face, the one to make the best face gets a prize. Opposites - Make a list of things for the children to do, for example, stand still, walk, run, hop, sit down, stand on 1 leg etc. The object of the game is for them to do the opposite to what you say, you then slowly eliminate those who do it wrong and the winner is the last one remaining. Pass the Balloon - Line up 2 teams of players all facing the same way. The one at the front holds the balloon. On the word go the first child passes the balloon over their head to the player behind who then has to pass it between their legs to the player behind. When it gets to the last person at the end of the line, they have to run to the front of the line and start the process again. The winners are the team who get their first player back to the front first. GAMES FOR CHILDREN'S PARTIES Pin the Tail on the Donkey - Draw a picture of the back of a donkey without the tail on a big piece of card. Draw on a big X where the tail should be, also draw a separate tail that will be pinned on or use blue tac. Each child is blindfolded in turn and lead to the donkey, spin them round 3 times then they have to pin the tail on the donkey. The one who has put their tail closest to the X is the winner. Mark the spot they pin the tail with their name. Musical Cards - Instead of using chairs for Musical Chairs use Giant Playing Cards and keep on removing one each time the music stops. You can also give the cards to the winner of a game and the one with the most cards at the end of the party wins a PRIZE. Treasure Hunt - Hide different things or objects, the players have to either collect a set number or find a list of things, the first to complete is the winner. The objects can range from pieces of silver foil, chocolate coins, potatoes, pieces of a picture, hats, gloves, socks. This game can be played individually or in teams of players, but make sure that you have more than enough treasure so everyone can find something.
